This week, I learnt a number if things:
- Some people will never change; they'll ask for a lift 'now' and still make you wait outside for them! When someone says 'now' it does mean 'right now' doesn't it? Then why do you come out 15 minutes later - say in 15 minutes then!
- I'm apparently easy to please and too accepting.
- Accepting that I'm apparently too accepting and easy to please actually means I am accepting, does that make sense? Therefore I will continue to be myself just the way I am. Truth is that at that moment in time, I may come across as accepting and easy to please, but mostly it's because I can't be bothered to argue, make a big deal out of small things, or I literally don't care enough. Sorry people.
- There is a place in Japan where there are loads and loads and loads of cats, that's right, you read correctly, cats.
- I have an amazing group of very supportive, inspiring and seriously lovely friends. Thank you friends.

- For most part of my life, I've been number two - this is sad but true. Lately however, I've come to realise that I don't want to be number one in someone else's life, I want to be number one in my own life. :)
- How can you know what you are missing if you haven't tried it?
- And finally, 'I'm sorry' and 'it's okay' are two phrases we should say and mean more often.

Those are interesting reflections. :) It's great that you have a supportive group of friends, and being too accepting isn't necessarily a bad thing either. For myself, it has been a bittersweet week, but I always believe things happen for a reason and perhaps being accepting is what all of us always need. Have a great week. :)
ReplyDeleteThis seems to be such a nice idea, reflecting and learning from the past week :)
